So after recently getting a sweet deal on a Canon EOS 10D Digital SLR Camera, I’ve gotten hooked on the Strobist website/blog run by the awesome David Hobby.
What is Strobist? In a short summary…
This website is about one thing: Learning how to use off-camera flash with your dSLR to take your photos to the next level. Or the next ten levels.
Im still reading up on the Lighting 101 on his site, but have started to dabble in off camera lighting a little and thought I would post some pics!
First Pic:

Running a SB-28 Flash directly behind subjects neck, triggered by Quantum Radio Slave 4 Wireless Trigger. Second SB-28 is mounted on my hot shoe directly on my 10D.
The Flash’s could both be turned down a bit and my setup could have better, but I was short on time and energy.
Second pic:

Once again, Running a SB-28 Flash directly behind Laptop screen, triggered by Quantum Radio Slave 4 Wireless Trigger. Second SB-28 is mounted on my hot shoe directly on my 10D.
I flipped the image horizontally and generally like this image. Its a cool effect (glowing apple), that sometimes in the daylight proves to be a pain when using my PowerBook.
More to come.
If anyone wants a free head shot/body shot and could spare some patience, I’d love to do some shooting using off camera lighting.
And as always, photos can be found at my Flickr page.
